Condensate Drain and Drain Pan Repair
Water on the wall or floor usually traces back to a clogged line or a pan that cannot drain. We clear the blockage, correct the slope and confirm the water leaves as it should.
DUCTLESS REPAIR
When a ductless mini-split stops heating or cooling the room it serves, drips water from the indoor unit or flashes a fault light, Fesmire Heating & Air Conditioning finds the real cause before recommending a repair. We are a second-generation, family-owned and operated company based in Pueblo, proudly serving homeowners in Pueblo, Pueblo West and surrounding Southern Colorado towns, backed by 25+ years of service. We install LG mini-splits and repair any brand, whoever put the system in. You get a plain explanation of what failed, your options and clear next steps.

WHY FESMIRE
A mini-split is an indoor unit and an outdoor unit working together through refrigerant lines and a communication connection, so a symptom in the room can start outside and the reverse can be true as well. We check both ends and the link between them, which helps us avoid replacing a part that was never the real problem.
Fesmire began as a father's company and is now run by his son. For a repair, that second-generation, family-owned accountability means the people who diagnose your ductless system are the same people who answer for the diagnosis afterward. Our company story tells how we got here.
We install LG mini-splits, so ductless equipment is familiar ground for our team. A repair does not depend on the badge, though. If another contractor installed your system or it came with the house, tell us the make and model when you call and we will plan the visit around what you actually have.
We work with you every step of the way. After the diagnosis, you hear which part failed, what the repair involves and what your options are, with no surprises or hidden fees. Nothing begins until the plan makes sense to you, and the decision stays with you from start to finish.
Fesmire has been working on heating and cooling equipment since 2000. That experience helps us read the clues a ductless system gives, such as a particular blink pattern, a sound from the indoor unit or a room that never quite reaches comfort, and it lets us give you a straight answer about what is wrong.
Veterans and seniors receive 10% off when they mention it. It is the only special we run, and our Specials & Coupons page explains how it works, so mention it when you call and we will make sure it is noted on your repair.
WARNING SIGNS
If the indoor unit runs but the air never changes the temperature of the room, something is keeping the system from moving heat. A dirty filter or coil, low refrigerant from a leak, a failing fan motor or a faulty sensor can each be responsible. Each fix is different, so testing the system matters more than guessing.
Indoor units pull moisture out of the air and send it away through a condensate line. When water drips from the unit or runs down the wall, the line or drain pan may be clogged, the unit may be out of level or the coil may be icing and thawing. Turn the unit off to protect your wall and floor.
Many ductless systems use blinking lights or a coded display to point toward a fault, such as a sensor problem, a communication error between the indoor and outdoor units or a protection shutdown. The pattern means different things on different brands, so write down what you see and share it with us when you call.
If the unit does not respond to the remote, check the batteries and the mode first. When those are fine, the cause may be a failed receiver, a control board problem or a loss of power to the unit. Because the remote, the unit and the outdoor equipment all talk to one another, we trace the signal instead of replacing parts at random.
A musty odor often points to moisture and debris on the coil, filter or drain pan. Rattling, clicking or a loud hum is a different matter and may mean a loose blower wheel, a worn fan motor or an electrical component under strain. A gentle airflow sound is normal, but a harsh noise deserves a call.
The outdoor unit should start when the indoor unit calls for heating or cooling. If its fan does not turn, it hums without starting or it stays coated in ice, a failed capacitor, fan motor, sensor or refrigerant problem could be to blame. Light frost during cold weather can be a normal defrost cycle, but ice that stays is not.
Because a ductless system works through both seasons, regular mini-split maintenance and tune-ups through our residential maintenance plan help catch these problems earlier.
OUR REPAIR PROCESS
Your description is the first diagnostic tool we use. A mini-split can serve one room or several, so we want to know exactly where the trouble shows up before we touch the equipment.
A ductless system has components in the room, outside the home and in the refrigerant lines that join them, so we look at all three instead of judging from one.
Running the system lets us see the fault for ourselves and confirm it with measurements instead of assumptions.
Once the cause is clear, we explain it in everyday language and let you decide how to proceed.
We finish by proving the repair worked, in the room where you first noticed the problem and across the system as a whole.
Call us and we’ll start with step one.

REPAIRS WE HANDLE
Water on the wall or floor usually traces back to a clogged line or a pan that cannot drain. We clear the blockage, correct the slope and confirm the water leaves as it should.
Low refrigerant means a leak somewhere in the system. We locate it, repair it where practical and restore the charge so the system can move heat again.
A worn motor or a blower wheel that is loose or dirty can leave a room starved of airflow or noisy. We diagnose the motor and wheel and repair what has failed.
If the outdoor fan is not spinning or the coil cannot exchange heat, the whole system struggles. We test the motor, its capacitor and the condition of the coil.
Because a compressor is a major component, we confirm it is the real problem before recommending anything large. Your repair and replacement options are explained openly.
A failed board or sensor can shut down a healthy system or send it into a protection mode. We test the signals, confirm the fault and replace only what has failed.
When the unit ignores your commands, the remote, the receiver or the power supply to the unit may be at fault. We trace the cause and restore normal control.
The indoor and outdoor units rely on wiring that carries both power and signals. We trace damaged or loose connections and repair the circuit so the two units work together again.
Call us and we’ll find the cause first.

COMMON QUESTIONS
A running unit that does not change the room's temperature may have a dirty filter or coil, low refrigerant from a leak, a failing fan motor or a sensor or control fault. The cause can sit in the indoor unit, the outdoor unit or the connection between them. Switch the system off and call (719) 240-5109 so we can test both ends and explain what we find.
Indoor units remove moisture as they cool, and that water normally drains away through a condensate line. Dripping usually means the line or drain pan is clogged, the unit is mounted out of level or the coil is icing and then thawing. Turn the unit off to protect your wall and floor, then call us so we can trace the actual source.
Many ductless systems use blinking lights or a coded display to point toward a fault, such as a sensor problem, a communication error between the indoor and outdoor units or a protection shutdown. The pattern differs by brand and model, so we read it against the equipment in front of us. Note what the lights are doing and tell us when you call.
Frost on the outdoor unit during cold weather can be normal when a heat pump mini-split runs its defrost cycle. Ice that stays, or ice on the indoor unit or refrigerant lines, points to an airflow, sensor or refrigerant problem. Please do not chip at it. Turn the system off, let the ice clear on its own and call us to find the cause.
A musty smell often comes from moisture and debris that have built up on the indoor coil, filter or drain pan, so the air passing over them carries the odor into the room. We find what is holding the moisture, correct the drain or coil problem and explain what routine care will keep the smell from returning.
Yes. We install LG ductless mini-splits, but we repair systems of any brand, whoever installed them. Share the make and model from the label on the indoor or outdoor unit when you call (719) 240-5109 during business hours, and we will plan the visit around your equipment. Not knowing the brand is fine, because we can identify it on site.
Confirm the remote has working batteries and is set to the right mode and temperature, check that the filter is not clogged and make sure the breaker has not tripped. Clear leaves and debris from around the outdoor unit. If nothing changes, leave the system off and call us Monday through Friday between 7am and 4pm.
It depends on what failed, how the rest of the system is doing and what you want from the room. We explain the repair first and replacement when it is a reasonable path, so you can compare the two honestly. We do not push a new system your home does not need. When replacing makes more sense, our mini-split installation service is the next step, and a call to (719) 240-5109 starts the comparison.
A mini-split has no ductwork, so airflow problems live inside each indoor unit instead of in a duct system, and the indoor and outdoor units communicate electronically. A ducted system's diagnosis centers on the air handler and ducts. We repair both types, and if you have a ducted system, see our heat pump repair page.
Yes. After we diagnose the system, we tell you which part failed, what the repair involves and what your options are. There are no surprises or hidden fees, and nothing begins until the plan makes sense to you. You decide how to proceed every time, and veterans and seniors receive 10% off when they mention it.
